I help frustrated and unhappy women, young adults, and teens around Portland, Maine take action to create their best possible life through professional therapy services. Together we will address the things that hold you back and stop you from living your best life including:
complicated family history
dealing with anxiety or depression
struggling with stress or perfectionism
substance use or unhealthy coping
I will help you identify what's not going well and what changes you can start making today. I share the wisdom I've learned both personally and professionally with my clients to help them start taking action to feel better.
I want you to be empowered with knowledge and tools and also to understand that a lot of what you are feeling is likely totally normal and understandable. Together we will figure it out. I work from a perspective that is aware of oppression and considers gender, race, sexuality, physical abilities, and other identities or realities. I honor you as the expert in your own life. I will share my knowledge and expertise with you in the therapy process. With teens, I work with both youth and families to ensure teens have confidential and private counseling and parents are empowered to be their best selves as well. Giving back to my community is important to me so I volunteer with the Red Cross Disaster Mental Health team, deploying to natural and man-made disasters across the country to provide mental health support for survivors. I'm passionate about social justice and environmental concerns. I believe it's important to take into account all forms of oppression and challenges and to increase awareness and understanding of these concerns. I actively seek to be conscious of environmental and conservation issues. I also enjoy hiking and camping, yoga, and crafting.
